The construction of the Espace Hubert-Reeves is planned on land reserved by the city of La Malbaie near the Parc du Havre and the Musée de Charlevoix,  a few steps from recreational and tourist activities and close to most of the hotels in the area. In addition, the site is part of the Charlevoix astrobleme. And is home to several valuable geological phenomena.
